We had to superglue it back together. Would have returned it but its just too big. The box itself is a good size, and we can fit everything in there. My ceiling is 10' and sheet rocked. It took my about 6 hours to install including the time to purchase 1/4" screws to replace the screws provided. They just barely fit the holes. This saved the need to drill new holes for larger screws as was suggested in a previous review. I would suggest leaving 12" away from walls to provide space for the platform to sway slightly when loading it. I use a heavy duty electrical drill to raise and lower the unit. It works great but a portable drill (shown in picture) would not be able to raise a loaded platform. I'm very happy with the purchase. Meets my expectations
